About The Game

Cold Winter is a first-person shooter video game developed by Swordfish Studios and published by Vivendi Universal Games. The game was released in 2004 for the PlayStation 2, Xbox, and Microsoft Windows. Cold Winter is set in the present day and follows the story of Andrew Sterling, an agent of MI6 who is sent to Shanghai to investigate a mysterious terrorist organization known as “The Phoenix”. As he progresses through his mission, he discovers that the Phoenix are planning to use a powerful weapon known as “The Cold Winter” to bring about global chaos. In order to stop them, Sterling must travel around the world and battle his way through various locations such as Shanghai, London, Prague, and Siberia. Along the way he will encounter enemies ranging from terrorists to supernatural creatures. Gameplay in Cold Winter consists of shooting action with some puzzle elements thrown into the mix. Players must use their wits and weapons to progress through levels while fighting off enemies with an array of weapons including pistols, shotguns, rifles, grenades and more. The game also features a variety of special abilities such as slow-motion aiming and bullet time which can be used to take out enemies quickly or strategically plan out your next move. Additionally there are various mini-games scattered throughout levels which require players to complete certain tasks in order to progress further into the game. Overall Cold Winter offers an exciting blend of intense shooting action with puzzle solving elements that make it stand out from other first-person shooters on the market.
