About The Game

Okami is an action-adventure video game developed by Clover Studio and published by Capcom. It was released for the PlayStation 2 in 2006. The game follows the story of Amaterasu, a wolf-goddess who is tasked with restoring the land of Nippon to its former glory. She is aided by Issun, a tiny bug-like creature who serves as her guide and companion. The game features an open world environment that allows players to explore various locations and interact with NPCs. Players can also battle enemies using a variety of weapons and magical abilities. The combat system is based on a brush technique which allows players to draw symbols on the screen to perform special attacks and abilities. Players can also use items such as bombs, arrows, and scrolls to help them in battle. The game’s story follows Amaterasu as she embarks on a quest to restore Nippon from darkness by defeating the eight evil gods known as the Orochi. Along her journey, she meets many characters who aid her in her quest, including Susano, Sakuya, Waka, and many others. As she progresses through the game, Amaterasu learns more about her past and discovers her true identity as the Sun Goddess Amaterasu. The visuals of Ookami are stunningly beautiful with its watercolor art style that brings life to its characters and environments. The music is equally impressive with its traditional Japanese instruments that create an atmosphere of adventure and mystery throughout the game’s journey.
