About The Game
Portal 2 is a first-person puzzle game developed and published by Valve Corporation. The game is the sequel to the 2007 game Portal and was released on April 19, 2011. Players take on the role of Chell, a test subject in the Aperture Science Enrichment Center, who must solve puzzles using the Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device (the “Portal Gun”). The game features single-player and cooperative multiplayer modes, as well as a level editor. The story of Portal 2 follows Chell as she attempts to escape from the Aperture Science Enrichment Center after being awoken from stasis by Wheatley, an AI core. Along the way she meets GLaDOS, an AI core that was previously in charge of the facility. GLaDOS attempts to stop Chell from escaping by sending her through a series of increasingly difficult test chambers. In order to complete these tests, Chell must use her Portal Gun to create portals that allow her to move between two different locations in three-dimensional space. The puzzles become more complex as Chell progresses through the game, requiring her to use momentum and other physics-based elements in order to complete them. In addition to its single-player campaign, Portal 2 also features a cooperative multiplayer mode where two players control two robots named Atlas and P-Body who must work together to solve puzzles. The level editor allows players to create their own levels and share them with other players online.
