About The Game

Ratchet: Deadlocked is a third-person shooter video game developed by Insomniac Games and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. It is the fourth installment in the Ratchet & Clank series, and the first to be released on the PlayStation 2. The game follows Ratchet, a Lombax mechanic, and his robotic sidekick Clank as they are forced to compete in a series of dangerous gladiatorial contests known as “DreadZone”. The game features an array of weapons, gadgets, and vehicles for Ratchet to use in combat. These include a variety of guns such as shotguns, machine guns, and rocket launchers; gadgets such as decoy robots and force fields; and vehicles such as hoverbikes and mechs. The game also introduces a new feature called “Armor Mods”, which allow players to customize their armor with various abilities. Additionally, players can collect “Vid-Comics” scattered throughout each level which unlock bonus levels when collected. Players must complete missions within each level in order to progress through the game. These missions range from defeating enemies to completing platforming sections or racing against time limits. As players progress through the game they will gain experience points which can be used to upgrade their weapons and armor. Additionally, players can compete in online multiplayer matches against other players or bots using their customized loadouts. Overall, Ratchet: Deadlocked is an action-packed shooter with plenty of content for fans of the series.
