About The Game

Resistance 3 is a first-person shooter video game developed by Insomniac Games and published by Sony Computer Entertainment exclusively for the PlayStation 3. It is the third installment in the Resistance series and takes place in an alternate history where an alien race known as the Chimera have invaded Earth. The game follows Joseph Capelli, a former soldier of the United States Army who is now on the run from both the Chimera and human forces. Players take control of Capelli as he travels across a post-apocalyptic America, fighting off both human and Chimera forces. The game features an arsenal of weapons ranging from conventional firearms to alien technology, as well as various forms of transportation such as cars, boats, and aircraft. Players can also use their environment to their advantage, using cover to protect themselves from enemy fire or using objects in the environment to create makeshift weapons. The story follows Capelli’s journey across America as he attempts to reach New York City in order to save humanity from extinction at the hands of the Chimera. Along his journey, he meets up with other survivors who join him in his fight against the aliens. As players progress through the game they will unlock new weapons and abilities that will help them survive against increasingly powerful enemies. The game also features online multiplayer modes that allow up to 16 players to battle it out in various deathmatch and team-based modes. Overall, Resistance 3 is a thrilling shooter experience that offers intense combat scenarios set within a post-apocalyptic world filled with danger at every turn.
