About The Game

TimeSplitters 2 is a first-person shooter video game developed by Free Radical Design and published by Eidos Interactive. It is the sequel to the critically acclaimed TimeSplitters, and was released in 2002 for PlayStation 2, Xbox, and GameCube. The game features a single-player story mode, as well as a variety of multiplayer modes. In the single-player story mode, the player takes on the role of Sergeant Cortez, an elite soldier from the future who has been sent back in time to prevent an alien race known as the TimeSplitters from altering history. The game follows Cortez as he travels through different time periods in order to stop the TimeSplitters from changing history. Along the way, he meets various allies and enemies who help or hinder his progress. The multiplayer mode allows up to four players to compete against each other in a variety of game types including deathmatch, capture the flag, and team deathmatch. There are also several mini-games available such as ice hockey and zombie defense. The game also features an extensive map editor which allows players to create their own levels and share them with others online. TimeSplitters 2 is renowned for its fast-paced action and unique art style which combines cartoonish visuals with realistic environments. The game also features an impressive soundtrack composed by Graeme Norgate which adds to its intense atmosphere.
