About The Game

Tony Hawk’s Proving Ground is an extreme sports video game developed by Neversoft and published by Activision. It is the ninth installment in the Tony Hawk’s series and was released for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, Wii, and Nintendo DS in 2007. The game focuses on skateboarding and other extreme sports activities such as BMX biking and inline skating. Players have the ability to create their own skater character, customize their skateboard or bike, and progress through a storyline that takes them from amateur to pro level. The game features three distinct locations: Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Washington D.C. Each location has its own unique style of skating with different objectives to complete. Players can choose to focus on one of three paths – Career Mode, Rigger Mode or Hardcore Mode – each offering a different style of play. In Career Mode players must complete tasks such as collecting items or performing tricks in order to progress through the story line. Rigger Mode allows players to build their own skate parks using objects found throughout the levels while Hardcore Mode focuses on more difficult tricks and stunts that require precise timing and skill to complete. Players can also compete against each other online or offline in various multiplayer modes such as Trick Attack, Graffiti, Horse and King of the Hill. Tony Hawk’s Proving Ground also features a variety of mini-games such as Skate Heaven which allows players to compete against each other in an obstacle course while trying to collect points along the way.
