About The Game

Twisted Metal: Black is an action-packed vehicular combat game developed by Incognito Entertainment and published by Sony Computer Entertainment for the PlayStation 2 in 2001. The game follows a tournament of destruction hosted by a mysterious figure known as Calypso, who offers the winner of the tournament any wish they desire. Players take control of one of 14 vehicles, each with its own unique weapons and abilities, and battle it out in a variety of arenas. The game features an intense single-player campaign that follows the story of four characters: Sweet Tooth, Dollface, Mr. Grimm, and Axel. Each character has their own motivations for entering the tournament and their stories intertwine as they progress through the game. The single-player campaign is full of intense battles against powerful bosses and plenty of secrets to uncover. Twisted Metal: Black also features an extensive multiplayer mode that supports up to four players locally or online. Players can choose from all 14 vehicles available in the single-player campaign as well as several exclusive ones only available in multiplayer mode. There are also a variety of game modes to choose from such as Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, Last Man Standing, and more. The visuals in Twisted Metal: Black are dark and gritty with a distinct comic book style that helps bring out the characters’ personalities even further. The soundtrack is equally impressive with an eclectic mix of rock, metal, hip-hop, and techno music that perfectly fits the chaotic atmosphere of each battle.
